Biz news: Esa-Pekka gets new agent

Biz news: Esa-Pekka gets new agent

The Finnish conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen has moved his representation overnight from the dismantled Fidelio Arts to the English boutique of Kathryn Enticott Music Management.

This is an exceptionally shrewd move on both sides.

Kathryn is possibly the hardest working conductors’ agent in the business, taking calls 24/7 for Semyon Bychkov, Alan Gilbert, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider and Franz Welser-Möst. She has never yet dropped a baton.

For Esa-Pekka, if he’s interested, she could organise a smooth transition to Cleveland when Welser-Möst departs, among other options.
