In the last of the present Lebrecht Interviews on BBC Radio 3, I asked Itzhak Perlman for his thoughts on the present situation in Israel, where he was born and grew up.

Itzhak gave a deep sigh and said he was hurting. But the bottom line, for him, is loyalty.
