The Vienna State Opera has posted a death notice for Lilly Scheuermann, its principal ballerina for a very long spell, 1972 to 1990. Lilly, who danced often with Rudolf Nureyev, died this week, aged 79.
Vienna born, she held a special place in audience hearts.
