Who’s playing Slava’s cello?

Who’s playing Slava’s cello?

A 1783 Guadagnini cello once owned by Mstislav Rostropovich has been placed on loan with the Norwegian cellist Amalie Stalheim.

Slava owned several Guadagninis. This one was bought by the Norwegian foundation Dextra Musica, which seeks to help local talent.

Stahlheim, 32, plays mostly in the Baltic countries. She will be Artist in Residece at Malmö Academy of Music for the next three years.
