TECHNICAL STUFF (En/Gr)

The sound of TRITOnous

All music broadcast by TRITOnous is encoded in MP3 format at 320 kbps.

For the time being, the stream is available at 128 kbps MP3. We reserve the right — and certainly the intention — to increase the streaming quality in the future.

All of our recordings come from our own CDs. They are first ripped to FLAC, preserving the original quality, and are then converted to 320 kbps MP3 for broadcasting.

You can view the details of the recording and performance either through your favourite media player or directly on our website.

We are always keen to expand the music library and add more exceptional performances by outstanding musicians and orchestras.

But everything takes time.

One step at a time.

Our own, admittedly rather arbitrary, definition of when TRITOnous Radio will finally stop being “experimental” is when our music library grows beyond 5,000–6,000 recordings.

We still have a long way to go.
