Martha Argerich is out for rest of August

The fabled pianist, 84, has pulled out of the Lucerne Festival on August 28 and  the Enescu Festival in Romania three days later.

She will be replaced in both events by the Korean, Seong-Jin Cho.

Martha’s people have told the Romanians she expectes to be in Bucharest on September 15 for a concert with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by her ex-husband Charles Dutoit.
