Edinburgh hits high sales

The Edinburgh International Festival has just ended with its best box-office in a decade. The final tally was 88 percent ticket sales to 111,000 spectators from 91 countries.

The Fringe did less well, albeit on a much larger scale. Attendances were down slightly on last year – 2,604,404 tickets sold to 53,942 performances of 3,893 shows. 2024 figures:  2,612,913 tickets to 3,746 shows.
