Joyce jumps in for Garden debut

The Canadian soprano Joyce El-Khoury will sing a role debut as Hélène in Verdi’s Sicilian Vespers at Covent Garden next month, her first attemot at the role. She replaces Marina Rebeka who is unwell.

Speranza Scappucci  will make her debut as Principal Guest Conductor of The Royal Opera.
