Jorma Panula pushes out next Finn baton

In the coming season of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the prolific conducting teacher Jorma Panula will share a concert with his latest produgy, Maximilian Fagerlund.

Panula is 95 years old, Fagerlund 18.

The son of Finnish composer Sebastian Fagerlund, Maximilian has won a national piano competition after studying with Andras Schiff.
