Opera director sacked for violence has died

Opera director sacked for violence has died

Czech media are respectfully noting the death of Ludek  Golat, former head of the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre.

He was 70.

Golat was fired in 2009 after he threw a salami at a singer’s face, knocking out several teeth.

There were also complaints about sex videos.

Golat went on to direct operas in Italy, Israel and elsewhere.
