Label news: Naive signs Olympics star

The French label has signed the French-Swiss mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti whose voice floated high above the Olympics opening show in Paris last weekend.

Viotti, 38, dressed for that occasion as a female pirate.

She is the sister of the controversial conductor Lorenzo Viotti.

Naive explains: naïve is very pleased to announce a new signature with mezzo soprano @marinaviottimezzo

Marina Viotti, who was awarded a French Victoire de la Musique in 2023, is highly recognized for her unrivaled, intense and wide musical universe, inside and beyond the pure classical repertoire.

Last Friday, in front of an audience of 1 billion people worldwide Marina Viotti performed to great acclaim with metal band @gojiraofficial during the opening ceremony of Paris @olympics.

Marina Viotti’s debut album on naïve, out on October 11th, will see music by Dowland alternate with contemporary rock ballads.

About this new partnership with naïve, Marina Viotti said: “I am very excited to sign with naïve and also join Believe Group. Their modern views and ways, their passion and diversity are the perfect match to both my artistic projects and my personality, and I believe will help me develop and grow as a singer and as a person.”
