US orchestra chief retires

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s President and CEO Jonathan Martin will retire in February after seven years at the helm.

He arrived in Cinc’y from a long stint at the Dallas Symphony. In April this year he organised the transition to a new music director, Cristian Macelaru.

COO Robert McGrath will act as CEO while a successor is sought.
