Film composer dies at 94

Best known for his music for the German TV series “Schwarzwaldklinik”, the Austrian composer Hans Hammerschmid has died quietly at home.

Originally a jazz pianist, he wrote and performed many songs with Hildegard Knef. He also made numerous recordings with his own orchestra.
