Lament for a Boulez partner

Lament for a Boulez partner

Friends are mourning the passing of Brigitte Marger (Mondoloni), one of the kindest yet most effective members of the Boulez circle in Paris.

Brigitte was director of the Ensemble Intercontemporain and later of the Cité de la Musique, which evolved into the Philharmonie de Paris.

She met Boulez while working at the French Embassy in London while he was principal conductor of the BBC Symphony in the 1970s.
