Just in: Bolshoi issues  million contract to conductor

Russian websites have uncovered a new contract for an unnamed conductor at the Bolshoi.

The contract, running from from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2029, is worth one million rubles a year,. At present exchange rates that is $4,894,654.49 over the five-year term.

The contract requires

The director of the Bolshoi is the conductor Valery Gergiev, a close associate of president Putin.
