Last page is turned at The Musical Times

The magazine of record for musical affairs since 1844 has published its final issue.

The MT, jointly owned for the past 30 years by its editor Anthony Bye and by the Tallis Scholars conductor Peter Phillips, lost general relevance when it faded two decades ago from monthly to quarterly publication.

It has now been demolished with this statement:
The Publisher of The Musical times is retiring at the end of December 2024, therefore this journal will be discontinued with the Winter 2024 edition.
