Jobs round: Helsinki Phil boss lands London post

We hear that Aleksi Malmberg, general manager of the Helsinki Philharmonic for the past seven years, is to be Director for the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland, starting in March.

He says: ‘This era urgently calls for even closer international cooperation and a vibrant civil society, so that we can find new alternatives for a sustainable future. To achieve this, we need more dialogue, creativity, and art.’
