Head rolls at National Endowment for the Arts

Head rolls at National Endowment for the Arts

Its director, Maria Rosario Jackson, resigned this morning after three years at the helm.

Donald Trump promised to abolish the arts-giving agency last time.

Ms Jackson just made it a whole lot easier.

On leave from Arizona State University, where she is Professor at the Institute for Design and the Arts, Jackson led the Studio for Creativity, Place and Equitable Communities. For almost ten years, she also served as senior advisor for Arts and Culture and Strategic Learning, Research and Evaluation at the Kresge Foundation.

She was a DIE warrior, and there won’t be many left in DC.
