Breaking: Spanish orchestra sacks US conductor

The Euskadiko Orkestra in the Basque region of Spain today abruptly terminated the contracts of chief conductor Robert Trevino and general director Oriol Roch.

Trevino, who had been in the post for eight years, had his contract renewed ‘indefinitely’ two years ago. Roch had been in charge for ten years.
