Minnesota shows 5th deficit in six years

Minnesota shows 5th deficit in six years

The orchestra claims its audiences and donations are increasing, but five losses in six years is not a good look. The latest deficit, $3.8 million, is blamed on the loss of federal aid after Covid.

What will it be next year? With numbers like this, the orchestra has an interim leader and is struggling to find a new CEO. What is needs is new vision. Ticket sales across the last season were 75% of capacity. That’s a lot of absent butts.
