Jumping in for pregnant Lise

The Vienna State Opera has found replacements for Lise Davidsen, who is having twins this year. Simone Schneider will sing Sieglinde in Die Walküre (2 and 22 June). House favourite Krassimira Stoyanova (pic) will sing the Marschallin in Rosenkavalier (9, 12, 14 and 17 June).

The Verbier Festival has called in the Russian Yulia Matochkina to sing Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana.
