Polish composer, 75

A leading figure in Polish music and film, Wojciech Trzciński died yesterday after a long illness, ahed 75.

As head of music at Poland’s Radio One, he established the national  Fryderyk Awards and created an art centre in the Praga district of Warsaw. Trzciński composed 300 songs, several musicals and many film scores.
