Scots give second job to Bulgarian riser

The BBC Scottish Symphony has just named Delyana Lazarova as principal guest conductor, from September.

A former assistant to Mark Elder in Manchester, Delyana has just taken on the equivalent post in Utah.

In Scotland she will have to slot into a large team of listed batons:
Ryan Wigglesworth, Chief Conductor
Ilan Volkov, Creative Partner
Lucy Drever, Associate Artist
Hans Abrahamsen, Composer-in-Association
Sir Donald Runnicles, Conductor Emeritus
Jerzy Maksymiuk, Conductor Laureate
