So who won the Norma war?

So who won the Norma war?

Vienna has just seen two productions of Bellini’s opera in a week.

The Teater an der Wien had a brilliant cast – Asmik Grigorian, Aigul Akhmetshina, Freddie De Tommaso – and spartan sets.
The Vienna State Opera had Juan Diego Flórez, the Vienna Philharmonic and a dazzling stage design.

So who won?

Die Presse scores it 1-0 for Asmik’s team. The rest of the media mumbles about a goalless draw.

The result will be announced on box-office VAR.
