Alexander Pereira: The trial resumes

Backstage Classical reports that the trial of the former Maggio Musicale director is reaching its climax in Florence.

Pereira is accused of misappropriating Maggio funds for unauthorised travel and relocation expenses and using the company’s credit card for, inter alia, helicopter flights.

If convicted, the former La Scala and the Salzburg Festival boss faces a possible four years behind bars.
