Exclusive: Birmingham bans cameras in concerts

Ushers were sent out with these signs at last night’s CBSO concert of Dvorak Cello Concerto and Rachmaninov Symphonic Dances.

It looks like the CBSO’s chief exec Emma Stenning has been forced to back down on her ambitious plan to create a ‘new type of concert performance’. For once, the audience has triumphed.
