Rat-poison concertmaster is back in court

Rat-poison concertmaster is back in court

A Hannover musician convicted of trying to poison two of his colleagues in the Schleswig-Holstein Symphonty Orchestra is back in court today after a superior court overturned part of the original verdict of attempted murder.

The man in the dock is accused of lacing a cream-cheese dip with rat poison on a concert tour. Both victims went on to suffer apparent blood clotting disorders. The accused is also charged with having tried out the dip three days earlier on his aged mother. He was jailed for six and a half years.
