Wigmore Hall’s 125th Anniversary Season

Wigmore Hall’s 125th Anniversary Season

Wigmore Hall celebrates 125 years of extraordinary music-making in its 2025/26 season (September 2025 – July 2026).

The season opens with a rare appearance by Matthias Goerne and Maria João Pires, alongside performances of Bach’s St Matthew Passion from the Dunedin Consort and the B Minor Mass from Vox Luminis with Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. September also features Elisabeth Leonskaja, a duo performance from Christian Tetzlaff and Leif Ove Andsnes, and recitals by Véronique Gens, Midori, and jazz legend Fred Hersch.

The season continues with unmissable performances from Mitsuko Uchida, the Takács Quartet, Jakub Józef Orliński, and a special collaboration between Stephen Kovacevich and Martha Argerich. Highlights include a season-long residency from the Kanneh-Mason family, Thomas Dunford’s dynamic ensemble Jupiter, and Thomas Larcher as composer-in-residence.

Other season standouts include Il Giardino Armonico, The Tallis Scholars, Jean Rondeau performing Louis Couperin, and Barbara Hannigan’s much-anticipated Wigmore Hall debut. Festive highlights feature Christiane Karg and Gerold Huber’s Christmas programme, performances from the Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge, and a dazzling New Year’s Eve with Iestyn Davies and the English Concert.

With a special two-week festival in the summer 2026 and a series of anniversary commissions, this is a season of celebration and history.
