UK debut for Israeli conductor in Mahler 9

UK debut for Israeli conductor in Mahler 9

The BBC Philharmonic has lost Mark Wigglesworth next Saturday ‘for personal reasons’.

Flying in will be Yoel Gamzou, known for the sensitive performing edition he had published of Mahler’s 10th symphony.

It’s his UK symphonic debut.

Shame that Manchester’s Jewish community will miss the concert. It’s the first night of Passover.
