We are hearing from disappointed concertgoers who booked flights to attend Víkingur Ólafsson’s Wigmore Hall recital of Beethoven and Schubert sonatas, only to be informed today that the Icelandic pianist has reverted to last year’s overworked programme of Bach’s Goldberg Variations.
It llooks like he’s taking the audience for granted.

Thank you for booking the above concert.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Víkingur Ólafsson (piano) has had to change the programme for the above concert. He is delighted to present Bach’s Goldberg Variations for his Wigmore Hall solo debut recitals.
The duration of this concert has therefore changed and will now be approximately 90 minutes,
without an interval.
