Martha becomes a knight of Romania

The conductorIon Marin, Honorary Consul of Romania in Switzerland, has awarded the Faithful Service Order in the rank of Grand Officer to the pianist Martha Argerich on behalf of the Romanian Presidency.

Madame Argerich emphasized her strong connections and friendships with great Romanian artists, including Ion Marin, Radu Lupu, Sergiu Celibidache, Madeleine and Dinu Lipatti, Clara Haskil and Eugen Ionescu.
