Message from Staatsoper Unter den Linden:

She was a committed protestor against forgetting, who moved numerous people with her repeatedly told life story – her plea for humanity as a universal role model is exemplary. The honorary citizen of Berlin Margot Friedländer, who lived again in her hometown since 2010, has as a witness to the memory of kept alive the persecution and extermination of the Jewish people and stood up against antisemitism and for tolerance.
