Klaus Mäkelä makes his-and-her luthier purchase

The overextended Norwegian conductor has found time to commission a new cello for himself and a violin for his girlfriend Amanda Håoy Horn at an Italian luthier in Florence.

Amanda now plays in the Oslo Philharmonic.
