Muti gives trumpet his life’s moment

From the Chicago Symphony Orchestra:

When Principal Trumpet Esteban Batallán Cons makes his solo debut with the CSO at Symphony Center this week, it will be the culmination of a lifelong dream. “It makes me proud to say I’m the principal trumpet of the Chicago Symphony,” he says. Batallán will perform two concertos by Telemann and M. Haydn, under the direction of CSO Music Director Emeritus for Life Riccardo Muti on June 12-14.
