Principal flute, RIP

Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has announced the death of Professor Kathryn Lucas, who retired last year.

Kate specialised in contemporary flute peformance. She was principal flute of Santa Fe Opera and guest principal with Chicago Symphony Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
