Armenian star gets a Strad

The excellent Armenian violinist Sergey Khachatryan has been loaned the famed ‘Kiesewetter’ violin, made by Antonio Stradivari in Cremona around the year 1724.

The loan was made through the Stretton Society, which places prestige instruments in premier hands.

Current recipients include Leonidas Kavakos, Pablo Ferrández and Vilde Frang.
