Lalo Schifrin, RIP

Lalo Schifrin, RIP

The phenomenally successful Argentine-US composer has died at 93.

An associate of Astor Piazzola, he hooked up  with Dizzy Gillespie’s band in the 1960s and worked a ferile line between Larin music and jazz.

When Hollywood came calling, he made his mark with theme music for the Mission:Impossible series, followed by a long working relationship with Clint Eastwood.
