Luisi is conducting  five nights running at La Scala

The Italian conductor Fabio Luisi happens to be in Milan, conducting the first performances of Bellini’s Norma in almost half a century.

In comes news that Tugan Sokhiev has pulled out of three performances of Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, in between two Normas.

No problem. Luisi will conduct those as well.
