Grange Park Opera this morning sealed a deal to secure the summer employment of the orchestra of English National Opera.
Under the five-year agreement, the orchestra will play the entire Ring Cycle from 2026 to 2030, plus additional operas that will include Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Verdi’s Don Carlo and Otello.
This is a major coup for Wasfi Kani, who runs Grange Park, and a measure of relief for ENO’s beleaguered management.
