LSO mourns principal viola

LSO mourns principal viola

The London Symphony Orchestra has notified us of the death of Brian Clarke, its co-principal viola from 1970 to 1999.

Brian, who was 92, came from a mining family in Rotherham, Yorkshire. He won his first orchestral post as fourth viola in Yehudi Menuhin’s Bath Festival Orchestra.
