A regional US orchestra raises  million. Just like that

The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in North Carolina, a regional orchestra of no significant pedigree, has raised more than $50 million in a three-year campaign that should push it way up the industry rankings. The music director is Kwame Ryan and the annual budget is $13m.

‘This is a transformative milestone for the Charlotte Symphony,’ said David Fisk, President and CEO.
