Another anti-musician airline is taking off

Another anti-musician airline is taking off

PLAY is a low-cost Icelandic airline flying between Europe and North America. Without instruments, apparently.

The violinist Pétur Björnsson had this experience:

I just had access to PLAY flight to Berlin with a violin on my back where I hadn’t bought extra seats for it. It’s a newcomer but never have I known of that claim from another airline other than Ryanair. Since I started traveling around Keflavík airport, I have never encountered anything like it. They couldn’t even sell me an extra seat when this came out even though the plane was far from being full. They were responsible for the safety of passengers when they refused that a violin could go into the luggage compartment above the seat. Thankfully Icelandair was at the airport on the way to Elena flight and was able to pick up the instrument. There it is possible to understand verses.
If this isn’t bullying against one profession then I don’t know what is.

Beware of PLAY.
