Artistic coordinator quits La Scala

Artistic coordinator quits La Scala

The departure of Dominique Meyer as Sovrintendente has set off a gave of musical chairs on the top floor of La Scala.

First to go is the supremely well-informed André Comploi, Meyer’s right-hand man for the past 17 years in Vienna and Milan. He will be succeeded by Paolo Gavazzeni, a former Scala staffer who is presently artistic director of the television channel Classica HD, broadcast on the Sky television platform, Canale 136.
