As Trump seizes Kennedy Center, a Berlusconi joins La Scala board

With the Washington coup still ringing in our ears, we learn that Barbara Berlusconi, third daughter of the late Italian president, has been appointed to the board of La Scala Milano by the president of the Lombardy region.

Berlusconi, 40, is a director of the family holding company and a former board member of AC Milan, the football club.

This may herald a surge of rightwingers onto arts boards.
