Baton handover at Aldeburgh and Cardiffs

Britten Peard Arts has appointed a career-long artists’ agent to succeed Sir Simon Robey as board chair.

Angela Mallinson, 64, has been on the BPA board for five years.

She was a founder of the Sullivan Sweetland artists management company and is a director of the Maestro Arts agency. Her artists included Ravi Shankar and Anoushka Shankar. She has lived near Aldeburgh for the past nine years.

In Cardiff, struggling Welsh National Opera has a new chair. He is Professor Medwin Hughes, former deputy chair of the Welsh Language Board.
