BBC shuts two orchestral posts

We hear that two string players in the BBC Philharmonic have been persuaded to take voluntary redundancy after complaining of noise related hearing damage. Both stepped down with reluctance.

And neither job is to be advertised. The posts have been cancelled on the authority of Simon Webb, director of orchestras.

The MU is nowhere to be seen.
