Béjart star dies, 96

Milko Šparemblek, balletmaster at Maurice Béjart’s Ballet du XXe Siècle in Brussels and later director of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet in New York, has died in Zagreb at a great age.

He was also director of Gulbenkian Ballet for four years, Ballet de Lyon for three years, and from 1992 to 1994, the Ballet of Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
