Berlin Phil picks four new conductors

The orchestra unroilled in new season this morning.

Dutch violinist Janine Jansen will be artist in residence.

Spanish guru Jordi Savall will teach the Academy and make his debut with the Philharmonic.

Four new conductors are given their first chance: Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Thomas Guggeis, Petr Popelka and Raphaël Pichon.

Mirga (pic) is making her Vienna Philharmonic debut tonight.
