Classical stars join Camden’s club life

Classical stars join Camden’s club life

A friend came back fro  KOKO last night, enthusing about a gig by cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and his pianist sister, Isata. There were 800 young people crowding out the venue, having a really good time.

Two weeks ago, Koko put on the supercool pianist Pavel Kolesnikov in the Goldberg Variations.

Last week it was classical guitarist Rosie Bennet.

There is so much more classical music in London than the somnolent South Bank and Barbican would have us believe.
