Death of a French composer

The death has been reported of the composer Edith Lejet, Emeritus Professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She died today, in the week of her 83rd birthday.

A winner of the Grand Prix de Rome, Lejet composed numerous works that conformed to none of the dominant ideologies.
